Its story

In the silhouette of the Herdsman, that celestial shepherd who follows the Wain, shines a white type-A star, hotter and more luminous than the Sun. Its light set out 321 years ago, when Bach was still a young organist in Arnstadt and musical Baroque was beginning to unfold its fugues and counterpoints. It has travelled in silence while human music was becoming a cathedral, arriving untouched to us.
