What is HIP 70657

In the discreet Circinus of the southern hemisphere glows an orange K-type star about 904 light-years away. Its light departed around the year 1122, while Peter Abelard was writing his «Sic et Non» in Paris and scholasticism began its golden age. Cooler than the Sun, its amber light seems to kindle with the calm of an old lantern.
