Its story
In the Great Bear shines a yellow type-G star 410 light-years away, a chromatic sister of the Sun. Its light departed in the seventeenth century, when Galileo was condemned in Rome for holding that the Earth orbited the Sun. It shares our star's characteristic golden tint of G stars, yet burns much farther away —a solar echo set upon the back of the bear, faithful to Galileo's cause.
