Its light began its journey around the year 1215, the very year King John of England signed the Magna Carta at Runnymede, a founding piece of modern constitutionalism. Its deep reddish tone is the signature of an aged star that has exhausted its central hydrogen and now burns with the slowness of a prolonged cosmic dusk.
