Its story
It shines in Centaurus with the warm tones of a K-type star, the colour of soft copper. Its light took some 360 years to arrive: it set out around 1665, when London was suffering the last great plague and would burn the following year in the Great Fire. Centaurus is a southern constellation full of jewels, anchored by the Alpha Centauri system. There, this star sustains a restful light, away from the main line.
