Northern polar starIts story
So far north that it barely sets for European observers, this G-class yellow star lives in Camelopardalis, close to the celestial pole. Its light left the star around 1625, when Charles I was rising to the English throne and European Baroque was beginning to unfold. G-type like the Sun but four hundred light-years away, its brightness is modest: the Sun itself, there, would be a barely perceptible point on a good night.
