In Camelopardalis —the celestial giraffe, a wide and dim northern constellation— shines this white A-type star some four hundred and forty light years away. Its light departed around the years when Newton was publishing his Principia and changing forever the way we understand the motion of celestial bodies. Today it obeys those very same laws.
