Its story
A relative neighbour at just 67 light-years, this yellow G-type star inhabits Centaurus like an elder sister to the Sun. Its light departed in 1958, the year Sputnik 1 fell back to Earth after opening the Space Age. It is similar enough to our own star that one can quietly imagine some planet circling it under skies not unlike ours.
