Its story
In Hydra, the longest serpent in the sky, glows an orange K-type star. Its light set off 624 years ago: it was crossing space as Tamerlane sacked Damascus in 1401 and the heart of Asia Minor trembled under his horsemen. Cooler than the Sun, it rests on the scaled back of the most extensive constellation, far from the brightness of Alphard.
