Its story
Across the long back of Hydra shines an F-class star, yellow-white and somewhat hotter than the Sun, just over a hundred light-years away. The light that now defines it set out as Europe was sinking into the First World War and the first radios were beginning to weave the continent together with distant voices. Its pearly tone belongs to those stars that sit between the Sun's yellow and the white of hotter classes, in a serene balance.
