Its story
74 Ursae Majoris is a white A-type star in the Great Bear, the constellation that anchors the northern hemisphere. It shines from just under three hundred light-years away, far from the spectacular Plough asterism yet within the same mythological figure. Its light set out at the dawn of the Enlightenment, when Newton was publishing his Principia.
