Its story
A yellow star of the Plough, in Ursa Major —spiritual cousin of the Sun. Its light set out 751 years ago, when Marco Polo was returning from his Asian journey and Italian city-states were ushering in the first Renaissance. A G-class star like our daytime body, it shares its warm, golden hue, though it burns much farther away, where the celestial dipper points to the north.
