Its story

Far within Centaurus pulses a blue B-type star 1591 light-years away. Its light departed in the heart of the early Middle Ages, while the Iberian kingdoms were being redrawn between Astorga and Córdoba. Far hotter and more luminous than the Sun, its glow shifts subtly, like a blue candle stirred by a nameless wind. It is a young, violent beacon whose fate will end in explosion; the spectacle still waits, but it is already travelling toward us.
