Its story
92 Leonis is a K-type orange giant resting about 270 light-years away, in the tail of the Lion not far from Denebola. It is an aged sun with its core hydrogen spent and a swollen atmosphere that makes it far broader and ruddier than our own. Its glow rounds out the cat's outline to the southeast of the main quadrilateral, a quiet but steady corner of the spring sky.
