Cool red starIts story
75 Leonis is one of the few M-type residents of Leo, a cold red star whose ruby colour reveals itself only to a patient eye. Its light takes 332 years to arrive: it left around 1694, while Newton was consolidating his synthesis of universal gravitation. It is the deep note in the lion's mane, an ember flash among stars far hotter and whiter.
