Its story
10 Leonis sits in the forequarters of the Lion, far from the blaze of Regulus. It is an orange K-type star around 246 light-years away —cooler and redder than the Sun, yet considerably larger: one of those quiet giants whose surface has been sculpted by convection cells for centuries on end. Its light set out under the Ancien Régime, before Flamsteed had finished his Historia Coelestis.
