Its story

On the plains of Centaurus burns a red M-type star, an ancient ember of the southern firmament. Its light departed five hundred and fifty-nine years ago, when Gutenberg was printing the forty-two-line Bible and words ceased to be unique. Far cooler than the Sun, it pours a deep, ripe red, like a coal fixed at the bottom of the sky. To see it is to hear the first creak of the presses that opened the world to reading.
