Its story

In Centaurus, some 612 light-years away, beats this orange type K star. Its light set out around 1414, when the Council of Constance was reordering the Western Church and the first portolan charts were stitching sea routes with ink and compass. Cooler than the Sun yet considerably larger, it offers a warm glow like a distant bonfire within a constellation of deep mythological root.
