Its story
62 Leonis is a K-type orange star roughly 606 light-years away in the body of the Lion, near the elegant line that traces his back. Its light carries warm tones, the sign of a relatively cool, very extended atmosphere. What reaches us tonight slipped away at the start of the fifteenth century, even before Portuguese ships had begun their expeditions down the African coast —a silent six-century journey across space.
