Its story
In the Sails of the ship Argo glimmers this yellow-white F-type star, only 71 light-years away. Its light set out in the early 1950s, while Watson and Crick were unravelling the double helix of DNA and the first civilian nuclear reactor was being switched on. It runs a touch hotter and whiter than the Sun, like a slightly hurried younger sister. Cosmically near, its glow nonetheless reaches us already aged by a human lifetime.
