Lynx, the constellation Hevelius drew because one needed lynx-eyes to spot it, holds this orange star 527 light-years away. Its light set out around 1499, while Leonardo da Vinci was finishing The Last Supper in Milan and the Renaissance was reaching its maturity. A K-class giant arriving like a last brushstroke from that workshop.
