Its story
15 Hydrae inhabits the largest of the constellations, the Hydra, that celestial serpent whose body winds across more than a hundred degrees of sky. It is a white type-A star about 446 light-years away, with a surface near ten thousand degrees. The light leaving its atmosphere and reaching Earth set out around the signing of the first colonial treaties of the sixteenth century.
