Its story

Rho Phoenicis is a yellow-white F-type star lying some 242 light-years away, in the southern constellation of the Phoenix. Its brightness varies slightly, possibly with the fast, subtle rhythm of the Delta Scuti pulsations that affect other similar stars. It belongs to a sky sparsely scattered with bright stars, where every luminous point stands out sharply against the dark background.
