Chi
Its story
Chi Phoenicis is an orange K-type star in the southern Phoenix, a constellation that the Dutch navigators Keyser and de Houtman drew at the close of the sixteenth century during their voyages to the East Indies. About 375 light-years away, its warm hue contrasts with the more common blues of the recent southern figures, giving it a discreet role in the plumage of the bird reborn from its ashes.
