At 238 light years in the Phoenix, this yellow G-type star sends light that set out around 1788, on the eve of the French Revolution. Its magnitude 5.39 places it at the threshold of stars visible to the naked eye under clear skies, and its golden tone links it to the spectral family of the Sun. It is a distant sister of the daytime star, similar enough to suggest temperate worlds and distinct enough to keep its own story.
