Its story
An orange star in Canis Major, the great hound following Orion across the sky. Its light set out 271 years ago, when Diderot and d'Alembert were beginning the Encyclopédie and European music was taking its first steps towards Viennese Classicism. A K-class star, cooler than the Sun, it offers a serene amber glow, almost like a distant candle.
