Psi-4 Aurigae is one of a set of stars sharing the letter Psi within the Charioteer, a practice old astronomers used when several lights crowded a single region. It is an orange K-type giant at 324 light-years, its warm hue reverberating across one of the densest milky fields of the northern winter.
