Hot blue starIts story
In Monoceros, the quiet unicorn constellation grazing beside Orion, burns a blue B-type star more than twelve hundred light years away. Its light began its journey around the eighth century, when the illuminated manuscripts of Lindisfarne were celebrating the written word in vellum and a new Christian art was flourishing in the isles. Hot and highly luminous, it radiates with a blue-white glow —emblem of the massive stars that live fast and die violently.
