Its story
On the discreet edge of Orion —far from the hunter’s most famous stars— pulses a yellow G-type sun, almost solar, only 63 light-years away. Its light set out around 1963, the year of Kennedy’s assassination and Martin Luther King’s speeches. It is one of the genuinely nearby stars in this batch: what a telescope gathers tonight belongs to the living memory of the twentieth century.
