Its story
In Columba, the modest constellation of the dove, it gleams with the serene orange tone of class K stars. Its light took nearly 300 years to arrive: when it set out, Newton had just published his laws of motion in England and European Baroque was living its last flowering before being supplanted by the Enlightenment. Its golden brightness, born of a temperature lower than the Sun's, gives it a warm, ancient air, like an oil lamp lit in the night.
