Its story

Eta Leporis is a modest beacon less than fifty light-years away, a yellow-white F-type star belonging to the Sun's near neighbourhood. Hotter and slightly more massive than our own star, it reached evolutionary maturity ahead of schedule and is now edging into the subgiant phase. Its proximity makes it a recurring target of planetary search catalogues.
