Its story
131 Tauri is a white A-type star within the vast territory of the Bull, one of those stars that populate the winter quadrant of the sky as Orion rises on the eastern horizon. Hotter and more luminous than the Sun, it shines with the bluish sharpness typical of its class. From 340 light-years, the light arriving tonight departed around 1686, the very year Newton presented the manuscript of the Principia to the Royal Society.
