Its story
In Cassiopeia, queen of the northern W, glows an orange K-type star, coppery and serene. Its light set off 381 years ago: it left in 1644, the very year the Manchus entered Beijing and the Qing dynasty seated itself on the Dragon Throne. A cool ember among the five stars that trace the mythic queen, fixed in the north like an old crown.
