Hot blue starIts story
In Taurus burns a hot blue star some 485 light-years away. Its light set out around 1541, as Spanish conquistadors were founding Santiago de Chile and Calvin was preaching reform in Geneva. Its blue-white surface far exceeds ten thousand degrees —a young, vehement star that will live only a brief flash on the scale of cosmic time.
