Its story
Taurus carries the Pleiades and Hyades on its back, but also more solitary embers like this orange giant 402 light-years away. The light we see now departed around 1624, when Galileo was building his first microscopes and the word science was still written in Latin. A K star, yellowish-red, burning far from the constellation's mythic spotlight.
