Its story

105 Tauri is a hot blue star, a variable Be type whose spectrum shows emission lines betraying a disc of gas around the equator. Catalogued as V1155 Tauri, its brightness shifts slightly and it burns at over a thousand and eighty light-years within Taurus, far from the reddish heart of Aldebaran. Its light departed around the start of the tenth century, long before the Bull bore names in any Romance tongue.
