Its story

1 Camelopardalis opens the numerical list of the celestial Camel, that pale, sprawling constellation near the north pole. A hot blue B-type star, very distant —its light has spent thousands of years crossing the galaxy. Subtly variable, young on the stellar scale, it marks a luminous point in a region of sky where almost everything else surrenders to dimness.
