Its story
A serene K-class orange in the cloak of Perseus, 253 light-years away. The light arriving tonight set out around 1773, when Cook was sailing the South Pacific aboard the Resolution and the East India Company was tightening its grip on the tea trade. Its warm hue is a reminder that many stars live more as embers than as flames.
