Its story

From Perseus comes a restless white light, faintly variable, pulsing as if uncertain of its own brilliance. It set out in the eighteenth century, while Diderot and D Alembert s encyclopaedists tried to confine all human knowledge to printed folios. Now, 313 years later, that same tremor reaches the eye like a late manuscript of the Enlightenment.
