Your star

hip-19095

Its story

It dwells in Eridanus, the long celestial river winding through the southern sky. Yellow-white in color, proper to F-class stars, it radiates with a temperature slightly above the Sun's. Its light has been crossing space for some 147 years —it set out when the first carriages of the London Underground were beginning to run beneath the city and electricity was starting to transform the great metropolises. Steady and luminous, it marks one of the bends of the stellar river like a firm lantern hanging over the current.
