Its story
In the bull of Taurus shines a yellow-white F-type star about one hundred and thirty-five light years away. Its light set out when the great railways were being built that stitched Europe from end to end and refracting telescopes were growing year after year. Slightly hotter and brighter than the Sun, it is an elder sister with a crisp white disk. The constellation, one of the most ancient ever recognized by humankind, has seen civilizations rise beneath this discreet star that barely reaches naked-eye visibility.
