What is HIP 17891

In Camelopardalis, the northern giraffe, it shines white 233 light-years away. Its light departed around 1792, in the heart of the French Revolution, as the Convention proclaimed the First Republic. An A-type star —white, hot, with a spectrum dominated by the clean hydrogen lines that grounded the Harvard classification.
