Its story

Within Aries glows an orange ember of type K, a slow light the eye reads as aged amber. Its glow travelled 542 years to reach us: it set out as the Catholic Monarchs sealed the dynastic union of Castile and Aragon in 1479, crossing the ocean of night while Europe redrew its maps. Cooler than the Sun, it measures human history in a single, unhurried blink.
