Its story
77 Ceti is an orange giant 459 light-years away, in the body of the Whale. Its warm tone places it among the mature stars, those that have left the quiet pace of youth and swell toward the end. Cetus is a vast, dim constellation, ideal for picking out colour nuances when the sky is dark enough. Its light set out in the mid-sixteenth century, at the peak of the European Renaissance.
