69 Pegasi gallops with the winged horse about 360 light-years away. A white A-type star, young and hot, it shows variability —small pulsations registered with precision by modern photometry. When its light first set off toward us, the telescope had not yet been invented; it now reaches a world able to measure every tremor of its atmosphere.
