7 Piscium lies 433 light-years away, near the cord that links the two fish of the constellation. It is an orange K-type star, cooler and less massive than the Sun in its giant phase —a slow, quiet light in a stretch of sky that old charts tied to the ecclesiastical spring, when the Sun once met Pisces at the equinox.
