Its story

8 Andromedae is a cool red M-type giant set 563 light-years away in the folds of the chained princess. It belongs to that family of vast, ruddy stars whose surface has cooled so far that the light turns to liquid copper. When this light began its journey, the American continent was still unknown to Europe; today it falls on our detectors like the warm echo of a northern autumn.
