Its story
60 Andromedae, also catalogued as b Andromedae, is an orange giant of class K4 burning at about 4,000 kelvin —far cooler than the Sun yet pouring out nearly nine hundred times its energy— some 530 light-years away, east-northeast of Gamma Andromedae. Its radius has swollen past sixty solar diameters. The light arriving tonight set out as the Treaty of Tordesillas was being signed in 1494.
