Its story
59 Pegasi drifts inside the body of the winged horse, about 242 light-years away from Earth. It is a white A-type sun, with a temperature near 8,000 degrees that lends its light a cool, clean, almost metallic cast. It shares the sky with the famous Great Square of Pegasus, the large autumn rectangle the Northern Hemisphere has used for centuries to find its bearings just east of Andromeda.
