Its story
It shines orange in Grus, the crane of the southern sky, about 488 light years away. Its light set out around 1538, in the heart of the European Renaissance, when Mercator was drawing one of his earliest maps and Charles V was still entangled in his Italian wars. A K-type star, cooler than the Sun, with that golden glow of astres that have already traveled a good part of their lives. A peaceful light marking the south like a small torch among dunes.
